One of the joys of my ministry is leading educational trips, enhancing the adult formation for Presbyterians in my region.  I’ve led many trips to the Holy Land, Journeys of Paul through Greece and Turkey, Presbyterian Heritage in Scotland/Ireland, Austria/Italy/Germany Oberammergau Tour, and others.  We went to the Holy Land in January of 2020 right before the pandemic hit.  We are now headed back, beginning January 10, 2023.  You do not have to be Presbyterian to go!

Holy Land Classic 2020 with Dr. Matt Meinke

The trip on January 7-16, 2020 was a 10-Day journey visiting all the major sites in Israel/Palestine, such as the Sea of Galilee, Mt. of Beatitudes, Jordan River, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jerusalem.  It included pilgrims from the churches in Ottawa, Sandusky, Antwerp, and Port Clinton.

In October 2018, joined by guest speaker Jaime Clark-Soles, we discovered the Journeys of Paul Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas.  We sailed roundtrip from Rome, Italy stopping in Sicily, Mykonos, Ephesus, Santorini, Athens & Corinth, Capri & Pompeii, and Ancient Rome.

In January 2017, I led a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, which included numerous biblical sites, from Bethlehem, to the Jordan River, to the Sea Galilee, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Masada and everything in between.

Trips offered approximately every two years: Oberammergau Passion Play, Austria/Italy/Germany in 2010, Holy Land 2012, Scotland/Ireland 2014, Holy Land in January 2017, Journeys of Paul Cruise (Italy/Greece/Turkey) in October 2018, Holy Land in January 2020.
